Curley Says Yes

Ask me anything   Submit   I'm a Brummie studying Creative Writing in Liverpool and I drink mostly water. This blog is intended to keep me in writing mode, but judging by my other fads (saxophone, unicycle, football manager...) it probably won't last very long. I doubt there will be any running themes.

To conclude: the stuff in this blog will be narcissistic and uninteresting to most.

As from Tuesday my life will be my own again!  My coursework will be handed in and I won’t have to write words that I’m not the frig arsed about.

I can’t wait to create! I’ve got all these thoughts and ideas that I’ve had to put on hold because The Man wants me to do some chores.

I’ve devised a list that I will be getting on with until my second semester starts:

    - proceed with this: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=189171186774&ref=ts

    - prepare my balloon project in time for the new year (pointless before then due to Xmas post)

    - get started on some sketches/scripts

    - read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.  I read The Kite Runner last year and enjoyed it thoroughly (even though one night I couldn’t get to sleep because I thought the Taliban were going to get me, which is similar to when, a couple of months ago, I watched a soldier’s stories documentary on the Irish Troubles.  It affected me so badly that when I awoke needing a wee (badly) the next morning at 6am, I didn’t get up for about ten minutes because I was scared of the IRA.).

    - kill Frankie Boyle

    - convince someone to have a house party on Christmas Eve or/and NYE.  Christmas Eve I can handle going to The Station.  Even though you need tickets.  Which I have yet to get.  For New Year though, I am so up for a house party!!  There’s been a suggestion that I should bring my Liverpool house down to Birmingham and drag everyone inside, but I’d be the host, and I don’t want to be the host.

    - visit Emma Mouse

    - sit on Joleen’s new settee

    - do some galleries and museums.  I think I’m gonna head outside of Brum for this, but keep it Midlands sides.

    - Yule to Yule.  This is mine and my friend’s winter version of Dot to Dot, though instead of watching bands back to back over a period of 16 hours all for 30 squid, we will be going to the occasional gig for an hour or so with loads of days in between and costing ourselves a frigging fortune.

    - give Cherry some much needed attention and discuss our relationship

    - swim like a mother effer

There may be a couple more.  Who knows?
